Azikana

Player 1 is a song of mine that I had to make album artwork for.

I first sketched out the idea on my tablet to get the basic shapes and colours down. The song has a lot of video game references and sounds in it so it was important the artwork contained elements that conveyed the songs themes of love and heartbreak mixed with video game elements. The design I ended up with is the center element of an Xbox controller with the Xbox logo replaced with a broken heart. The four sections surrounding it are used on an xbox controller to denote the player number and so with the song being called "Player 1", the first player light is coloured pink and given a gaussian blur along with the broken heart to make it look like the light shining through like it does on an Xbox controller.
